“Don’t leave the world with leftover purpose”

“Don’t leave the world with leftover purpose” was something that my Dad would always tell me up until he passed in 2015. I didn’t understand what it meant until I found somewhat of a voice through art. My life’s goal is to exhaust every creative bone in my body and this site is a small peak into my mind and the things that I’ve been able to share with the world.

I don’t do well with bios but I’m from Cincinnati and a lot of my inspiration comes from my youth in Winton Terrace and my experiences as a Black American that is a product of the great migration. My photography journey started in 2020 during lockdown and although this was a difficult time that halt allowed me to find new ways to discuss fears, uncertainty, happiness, and ultimately the perspectives of my people. The bulk of my art is conversations about Black experiences but everything that I do is expression. My goal is to create a sense of home through my work. I want you to smell Blue Magic when you see my images and I want my ideas to serve as the visual retelling of our histories. I had the great blessing of graduating from Miami University and my time at a PWI really allowed me to understand how powerful the Black experience is. This allowed me to cultivate my voice and develop the language to better articulate my passions and frustrations. My time there and my childhood experiences is what you see today.
